SolidWorks provides a number of options
which will ensure effective control, design re-use and management of
product design data.
There are three products to choose from:
SolidWorks Explorer®
SolidWorks® Explorer, provides file management for SolidWorks files and
is available at no cost. Users can manage relationships when copying or renaming
SolidWorks files, perform a where used search, and search for SolidWorks files
on criteria such as configurations and properties.
PDMWorks® Workgroup PDMWorks Workgroup is ideally suited
to managing design documents within a company design office or departmental
Work group. PDMWorks Workgroup is easy to install, easy to administer
and setup and ideally suited to the needs of the designer, who needs
to search, view and effectively control design data based around SolidWorks
files. This functionality is included with SolidWorks Office Professional
and SolidWorks Office Premium.
PDMWorks® Enterprise
PDM Works Enterprise is ideally suited to the requirements of multi site collaborative
design environment. PDMWorks Enterprise helps organizations manage and share
product data effectively and helps to automate workflow including Engineering
Change management and links to MRP/ERP solutions.
