SolidWorks Essentials

This course will focus on developing skills and concepts that underpin the successful use of SolidWorks design software. All the fundamental features of SolidWorks are covered including: 2D sketching, part-modelling, assembly modelling including "bottom-up design" and "dynamic motion", detail drawing creation for parts and assemblies, and associative design changes.

Advanced Part Modelling

This course is best suited for SolidWorks users who already have a few months experience and want to go beyond basic techniques and become more efficient in modelling complex prismatic or organic shapes. During this course you will learn about many advanced features such as lofts, sweeps, advanced fillet options, working with splines and various shaping tools.

Surface Modelling

This course is aimed at engineers and designers who model products with complex shapes, often found in consumer products, moulded and/or cast parts. You will learn to produce free-form shapes using a wide range of surfacing tools. The type of surfaces covered vary from flat standalone surfaces to bridging surfaces with curvature continuity.

Sheet Metal Design

This course will focus on building sheet metal parts using SolidWorks 3D software. This course will teach the best methods for creating sheet metal parts from scratch, developing flat patterns from existing solid models, and using sheet metal specific features such as forming tools, tabs, edge flanges, mitre flanges and more.

Assembly Modelling

This course will help you to learn robust production assembly modeling in SolidWorks. Learn how to troubleshoot assemblies and make your assemblies as efficient as possible. See how SmartMates and assembly configurations can make your life easier as you work with your production assemblies.

Weldments

In this course, you will learn how to make welded frames in SolidWorks. Topics include the design and modification of weldments, including weldment features such as structural members, end caps, and gussets. Basic detailing and cut list generation is also covered.

3DVIA

Designed for users who would like to become productive quickly in using 3DVIA. This 3 day course will teach you how to use the 3DVIA Composer package to create 2D and 3D output from CAD design data.
