SOLIDWORKS Electrical

Industry recognised design solutions for seamless integration of your electrical and mechanical designs.

Real-time integration of electrical schematics and 3D CAD.

Designers and engineers can quickly define the electrical interconnect of complex electrical systems with the easy-to-use electrical system design solutions in SOLIDWORKS Electrical, available in 3 packages.

Utilising intelligent single line or traditional multi-line schematics, and a library of thousands of electrical schematic symbols and parts, you can develop embedded electrical system designs in a real-time, collaborative multi-user environment that connects mechanical and electrical engineering.

Create electrical schematics

The intuitive, yet advanced user interface helps you to get upto speed quickly and easily. It's fun to use too!

Electrical design in 3D CAD

Easily create simple and complex geometry and use functionality to create product assemblies.

Embedded electrical system design planning

Easily create 2D drawings from your 3D Models, that automatically update if changes are made.

Collaborative electrical-mechanical development

Easily find existing 3D models and create new products by reusing them for new designs – saving time.

Electrical harness design planning

Create compelling photo realistic images and animations of your ideas before manufacture.

3D electrical cabinet design

Check all your holes line up and nothing else clashes – avoid errors before you manufacture.

Boost product innovation

Intuitive, powerful electrical design tools that simplify development and bring innovative products to market faster. Grow your market share and stand out with groundbreaking product design.

Mechatronic design

Simulate if your design will serve its purposes by testing whilst the design is still virtual.

Schematic annotation and documentation

Create welded fabrications with ease, add welding annotation and automatically create accurate cutting list that update of changes are made.

SOLIDWORKS Electrical is available in three software packages.

Electrical Schematic Professional is an effective and easy-to-use suite of collaborative schematic design tools drive rapid development of embedded electrical systems for equipment and other products. Built-in libraries of symbols, manufacturer part information, and 3D component models provide common reusable materials optimising design reuse.

Integrate electrical schematic data with SOLIDWORKS 3D models bi-directionally in real time. Place electrical components and use advanced routing technology to automatically interconnect electrical design elements in 3D models. Determine optimal lengths for wires, cables and harnesses and maintain design and bill of materials synchronisation between electrical and mechanical designs.

Combine the electrical schematic functionality of SOLIDWORKS Electrical 2D with the 3D modelling capabilities of SOLIDWORKS Electrical 3D and do it all in one powerful, easy-to-use package. SOLIDWORKS Electrical Professional is ideally suited for the user that supports both the electrical and mechanical design integration.

But which one is right for you?

It depends on what type of products you design, what type of functionality you need and the skills and experience already have.
